SEZMC has proposed a new industrial enclave in Shaheed Benazirabad, at the centre of Sindh, to be developed as a public–private partnership. The proposal is approved by the SEZMC Board and a consultant has been selected for the feasibility work.

02Region

Shaheed Benazirabad District, with its headquarters at Nawabshah, lies at the centre of Sindh, on the east side of the Indus between Hyderabad and Sukkur, where SEZMC is planning its other two new enclaves.

The Government of Sindh has established an industrial estate in Benazirabad, part of its network of estates in Sukkur, Nooriabad, Hyderabad, Kotri and Karachi, and the district has one of Sindh’s three domestic airports, with Sukkur and Larkana.

03The enclave programme

SEZMC describes all three in the same terms: new industrial enclaves under public–private partnership, approved by its Board, with a consultant selected for the feasibility work. Hyderabad and Sukkur have since published their land and master plans.
